Kolkata's literary organization, Kamna Kala Sangam Literary Association, held a book release event and poetry recitation on the auspicious occasion of Bangla New Year at the Vishnukant Shastri Auditorium in Bada Bazar Library. The organization released two books authored by Kamna and organized a grand poetry recital.
The event was graced by several distinguished guests, including Chief Guest Dr. Kailashnath Mishra from Uttar Pradesh, Acharya Rabindranath Bhattacharya from Calcutta University, and Vishwambhar Never, the Editor-in-Chief of 'Chhapte Chhapte' newspaper.
The ceremony was presided over by President Dayashankar Mishra, and the Chief Speaker was Acharya Rabindranath Bhattacharya. The Chairman of the organization, Rajesh Sinha, Assistant Professor of Calcutta Presidency University Dr. Munni Gupta, and Laxmikant Tiwari (Tiwari Brothers) were also present.
The event began with the presentation of traditional Saraswati Vandana by Alok Chowdhary, followed by a welcome song by Suman Jha. Dr. Urmila Saav, the secretary of Kamna, welcomed the dignitaries by presenting them with garlands, clothes, and emblems.
The guests shared their perspectives on the released books during the first session. Chief Guest Dr. Kailash Nath Mishra appreciated the tireless efforts of Kamna and stated that the book Rona Corona provides a glimpse of a research book. The second session featured a poetry recitation presided over by Jaykumar Ruswa and conducted by Ravi Pratap Singh.
Several poets, including Hiralal Jaiswal, Ramakant Sinha, Dayashankar Mishra, Alok Chaudhary, Nandu Bihari, Vandana Pathak, Pradeep Dhanuk, V Aruna, Vishwajit Sharma 'Sagar', Krishna Kumar Dubey, Anju Chharia, Aditya Tripathi, Sanjay Shukla, Shakeel Gondvi, Chandrabhanu Gupta, Jeevan Singh, Vikas Atri, Sriprakash Gupta, Gaurishankar Das, Pranati Thakur, Dr. Shipra Mishra, Vishnupriya Trivedi, Pravesh Patialvi, Dr. Manoj Mishra, Surendra Singh, Dharamdev Singh, Shweta Gupta Shwetambari, Chandra Kishore Chowdhary, Ravindra Srivastava, Omprakash Choubey, Vikas Thakur, Usha Jain, Lalita Joshi, and Ramnarayan Jha 'Dehati', presented their beautiful creations and enthralled the audience.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Urmila Saw 'Kamna', the convenor of the event. The literary event was well-received by the attendees, and it was a remarkable celebration of Bangla New Year for the literary community in Kolkata.
